Celebrating 15 years’ service for Blinding Clean: Hilsonic supports small businesses with ultrasonic equipment and outstanding customer support

When Blinding Clean came back to Hilsonic to have their ultrasonic machine serviced, Darren Pyke remembered the photo he’d taken of Inga and Phil – the company’s proprietors – when they first purchased the equipment, back in 2006 – 15 years ago, almost to the day.

Starting up in 2006

Staffordshire-based Blinding Clean first approached Hilsonic, looking to add blind cleaning to their portfolio of services and so they purchased an 8ft ultrasonic blind cleaning machine, enabling them to set up a mobile blind cleaning service which has gone from strength to strength.

Inga explains,
“In setting up the business, we wanted to ensure we started with cutting-edge equipment, and ultrasonics is the best and most effective way to professionally clean all types of blinds. The cavitation involved in ultrasonics means that as well as the blinds themselves being fully cleaned, the process also cleans the pull cords and ladder strings. Ultrasonic cleaning is a gentle process, which means that there’s no scratching or wear to the often delicate surface of the blinds, and it’s ideal for removing dust, grease, bacteria, nicotine stains and signs of fire damage.”

In the current climate, and with companies wanting to ensure their premises are hygienic and safe for staff to return to, ultrasonic cleaning provides very effective and efficient cleaning. While Hilsonic manufacture, sell and service ultrasonic cleaning equipment for a whole host of industries, Darren particularly remembers Blinding Clean and their purchase back in 2006. He comments,
“This was the first blind cleaner we sold and, over the years, we have kept in touch with Inga and Phil, offering minor repairs and servicing. As an SME ourselves, we are always keen to support other small businesses – never more so than over the last year. We’ll often send leads to Inga and Phil when customers approach us directly for blind cleaning, and we pride ourselves on our aftersale support and servicing – in this case, for 15 years.”

Inga concludes,
“We work for both domestic and commercial clients, including hospitals, offices and schools – all premises particularly affected by the COVID pandemic, and where cleanliness and hygiene are critical. Accessing the best technology available, we are delighted to have such a longstanding relationship with Darren and the team at Hilsonic – the personal engagement is so reassuring, and the staff always prompt with repairs and servicing to keep us mobile.”
